Routine Physical Exams

Your child will be seen during our regular office hours for well-child care. Our office recognizes the importance of these well-baby and well-child visits. During these visits, we will attend to your child’s developmental, emotional, nutritional, and educational needs. Personalized, age-appropriate guidance will be discussed. Immunizations will be given according to the schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the CDC.

Please bring immunization records and insurance cards to every visit.

Legacy Immunization policy

We firmly believe in the effectiveness of vaccines to prevent serious illness and to save lives. We firmly believe in the safety of our vaccines. We firmly believe that all children and young adults should receive all of the recommended vaccines according to the schedule published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics. Sick Visits

Our policy is to see every sick child as soon as possible. If your child is experiencing symptoms of being ill, we will try to schedule an appointment for your child to be seen on the same day. Please call our office to arrange a visit after 8:00 a.m. If your child needs to be seen on an emergency basis, we will make every effort to swiftly accommodate your situation. Walk-in patients will be scheduled for the next available sick slot. Although our office does not offer set walk-in hours, the Pediatric After Hours Clinic of Fayetteville offers expert pediatric care in the same facility as our office following our regular business hours, because we understand a child’s sickness does not follow your schedule’s convenience.

Telephone Policy

If your child is experiencing a medical emergency, dial 911 immediately.

We welcome telephone calls concerning your child’s health during our regular business hours. It is always best to call as early in the day as possible for a sick-visit appointment. It is not our policy to give medical advice over the phone and it is not possible to make a diagnosis without examining your child. Please provide specific, detailed information to facilitate the best assessment of the situation. All calls will be returned by one of our medical staff. It is necessary to call during business hours regarding appointment requests or cancellations, prescriptions, lab results, and referrals. 

After Regular Office Hours

Our office offers a pediatric provider line for after hours urgent matters. The physician or physician assistant answering the line will provide expert medical advice after hours.

Legacy Pediatrics happily partners with the Pediatric After Hours Care of Fayetteville, Fayetteville’s only pediatric urgent care.
